TRAVERSE CITY, MI – The Ford Fusion midsize sedan has an edgy design that portends styling for the brand going forward, says Phil Martens, Ford Motor Co. global vice president-product creation.
“With the Fusion, we’re starting to move the Ford brand in that direction,” Martens says following a speech at the Management Briefing Seminars here. “Edgier design will be a constant theme.”
Martens likens it to the Mazda6, which broke design ground for Mazda Motor Corp., making it easier for successive vehicles to follow the language, he says.
