Era Ends with Carrera Production Halt

The Porsche Carrera GT goes from a standing start to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 3.9 seconds.

Porsche AG pulls the plug on its $484,000 Carrera GT after a production run of just over two years.

The last Carrera supercar was built May 6 at Porsche’s plant in Leipzig, Germany.

Porsche delivered just over 1,270 units – half of which were sold in the U.S.

The car features state-of-the-art technology such as a carbon fiber monocoque chassis. Powered by a naturally aspirated 605-hp 5.5L V-10, the Carrera GT goes from a standing start to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 3.9 seconds.
