Fiat Auto SpA will begin selling vehicles in Mexico later this year via a new distribution network managed by 20% shareholder General Motors Corp. Last week officials from both sides met in New York to work out the deal, say reports. GM will begin selling Fiat’s Brazilian-built Palio, commencing in the third quarter, through the new network and handle all sales and customer service. Other models will follow later. Fiat says it expects to sell 20,000 units annually in Mexico.
