Fiat SpA names Lorenzo Ramaciotti, the former head of design at Pininfarina SpA, as its new design chief this week. Ramaciotti is designated vice president-design effective June 1, taking over responsibility for design for all Fiat brands except Ferrari. Ramaciotti will be an addition to the Fiat design team, and it appears CEO Sergio Marchionne created the new position for him because the chance to land a designer of Ramaciotti’s calibre was too good an opportunity to pass up. ...
