Ft. Myers (FL) Toyota is claiming a world record by selling 719 used vehicles in one month.

“It was a historic event for our town, our business and especially our people,” John Marazzi, general manager, says of the July event. “We're all still amazed we were able to pull it off.”

The record-setting event was filmed for a potential reality TV show. “These guys and gals are the real ‘King of Cars’ “The footage is fantastic; we're in the process of negotiations to release the show nationally,” says Chuck Ardezzone, producer and president of Introuble Zone Productions.

Ft Myers, south of Tampa, is a relatively small market of 350,000 people. In 2005, Ft. Myers Toyota delivered 6,397 new vehicles, and its used-car operation sold 5,190 units.
