DEARBORN -- Ford Motor Co. and Caterpillar Inc. form a software alliance to increase the speed of delivered service parts. Using Caterpillar’s processes and also developing a new system, the two want to hasten deliveries to Ford’s 21 regional distribution centers and make parts available to Ford’s dealers in real time.
