VIENNA – Ford-Werke GmbH will increase production at its plant in Saarlouis, Germany, from 1,830 to 1,920 units per day effective Sept. 1.

The Saarlouis plant, which employs about 6,600 workers, builds the Ford Focus, Focus ST and C-Max in three shifts.

The plant built 422,769 cars last year, up 14% from 2004.

About 78% of total output is exported to primary markets that include the U.K., Italy, Spain, France, Benelux, Sweden and Poland. Vehicles also are shipped to Australia, New Zealand, Japan and Taiwan.
