Ford Motor Co. reportedly is recalling 19,140 Mustang SVT Cobras from the ’03 and ’04 model years due to issues with the pony car’s carpeting interfering with the motion of the accelerator pedal.
The carpeting reportedly can slide under the accelerator pedal, leading to a loss of control and a potential accident.
Nearly 100 complaints, two accidents and one injury reportedly have resulted from the problem.
