A Chinese court has taken the first steps in accepting the GM Daewoo Auto & Technology Co. copyright infringement suit against Chery Automobile Co. Ltd. for its apparent cloning of the Chevrolet Spark, the Chinese version of what was the Daewoo Matiz.
