General Motors Corp. confirms it is considering offering a seat on its board to Tracinda Corp., the investment company owned by shareholder Kirk Kerkorian. GM isn’t providing details of those discussions, issuing a terse statement after press reports surfaced that Jerome York, who has been working as an adviser to Kerkorian on his GM holdings, would join the GM board. York is a former Chrysler Corp. chief financial officer and served as Tracinda’s vice chairman in the mid- to late-1990s. ...
