General Motors Corp. reportedly is calling back nearly 13,000 of its luxury sedans due to faulty power-steering hoses that could leak steering fluid, potentially causing engine fires or a loss of power steering at low speeds.

The recall applies to ’06 Buick Lucerne and Cadillac DTS sedans equipped with V-8 engines, the National Highway Traffic Safety Admin. says.

The auto maker reportedly has offered to replace the defective parts.

In addition, Mazda Motor Corp. is recalling about 2,600 ’06 MX-5 roadsters due to issues with the driver-side airbag dislodging from the steering-wheel assembly at very cold temperatures.

Mazda will replace the airbags on the vehicles that are at risk, NHTSA says.
