Corp. is promoting two key executives to the group vice president level.
Bo Andersson, vice president-global purchasing/supply chain, and Jim Queen, vice president-engineering, get the title upgrade effective April 1.
The promotions better reflect GM’s global operations, the auto maker says.
GM also announces Ken Cole, currently vice president-government relations, now will have responsibility for public policy, as well. His new title, also effective April 1, will be vice president-global public policy and government relations. As part of the move, Cole will join GM’s Automotive Strategy Board and report to Chairman and CEO Rick Wagoner.
Tom Gottschalk, executive vice president-law and public policy, will retire April 1. Robert Osborne, who was named GM group vice president and general counsel on Sept. 1, will replace Gottschalk.
