GM Sponsors Cheap Fuel for L.A. Drivers

Because GM says it has about 46,000 flex-fuel vehicles in operation in the Los Angeles area, lines at the Brentwood station are expected to start forming well before noon.

CHICAGO – Los Angeles-area drivers will get a shot at 85-cent-a-gallon fuel on Tuesday, but they’ll have to act fast.

Owners of General Motors Corp. flex-fuel vehicles will be able to pull up to the Conserv Fuel station at 11699 San Vicente Blvd. in Brentwood, CA, Feb. 26 between noon and 2 p.m. and fill up on E85 for only 85.9 cents per gallon.

Because GM says it has about 46,000 flex-fuel vehicles in operation in the Los Angeles area, lines are expected to start forming well before noon.

GM is sponsoring the promotion to help raise awareness about the first station in Los Angeles to offer E85 ethanol, and to encourage drivers of flex-fuel vehicles to use this cleaner, renewable fuel instead of gasoline.
