SEOUL – Kia Motors Corp. announces plans to produce its subcompact Rio cars in Ecuador through its existing partner, Aymesa. “Kia Motors and Aymesa formally have signed a memorandum of understanding that strengthens the partnership and permits Aymesa to assemble 7,000 knocked-down Rio units annually,” a Kia spokesperson says.
