Despite a slumping economy, sales of imported cars in South Korea increased 26.1% from year-ago to 1,471 units in March, the Korea Automobile Importers and Distributors says. First-quarter sales of imported cars totaled 4,183, a jump of 50% from 2,789 in the year-earlier quarter. BMW Korea Ltd. retained its market leader position, with monthly sales of 438; Mercedes-Benz (264) and Lexus (255) came in second and third, respectively.
