Mazda Motor Corp. says it will invest ¥13.9 billion ($126 million) over the next four years to expand its digital-technology-aided engineering capability in order reduce costly prototyping programs. The investment kicks in next month and serves to commence the second stage of the so-called Mazda Digital Innovation (MDI) initiative, initially launched in 1996.
