More MBS Coverage TRAVERSE CITY, MI – Full production of the Mitsubishi Raider pickup will begin mid- to late-August, says Frank Ewasyshyn, Chrysler Group executive vice president-manufacturing.

Based on the Dodge Dakota architecture, the Raider is being assembled on the same line at Chrysler's Warren, MI, plant that also builds the fullsize Dodge Ram.

Pilot production has been smooth, Ewasyshyn tells Ward's at the Management Briefing Seminars here.

The volume set aside for Mitsubishi has been pre-determined in a contract between the two auto makers. However, Ewasyshyn declines to provide numbers, or the length of the contract.
