Nissan Makes More Executive Changes

Nissan says John French will step into the new role of vice president-global sales and finance, effective May 1.

Nissan North America Inc. announces more executive changes, on the heels of the announcement two weeks ago it was shuffling staff.

Nissan says John French will step into the new role of vice president-global sales and finance, effective May 1. He now serves as vice president certified pre-owned and financial products for Nissan Motor Acceptance Corp.

Mike McConnell will replace French at NMAC, also effective May 1. He currently is regional vice president of Nissan’s Mid-Atlantic Region, headquartered in Herndon, VA. His successor will be named at a later date, Nissan says.

The following appointments are effective April 1:

  • &Tatsutoshi Inutake, senior director engineering at Nissan’s Canton, MS, plant, will take over as vice president-vehicle production engineering and manufacturing engineering, replacing Shohei Kimura, who is returning to Japan to become vice president and plant manager for Nissan’s Oppama plant.
  • Mark Swenson, vice president-manufacturing engineering at Nissan’s Smyrna, TN, plant, will take on the added title of vice president-simultaneous engineering. For this role, he will relocate to the Nissan Technical Center in Farmington Hills, MI.
  • Tokuji Muramatsu, general manager-vehicle quality assurance engineering in Japan, will replace Doug Betts as vice president-product quality. Betts earlier was named to the new position of senior vice president-total customer satisfaction for NNA.
