Nissan Motor Co. Ltd.’s Jatco Co. Ltd. transmission unit is denying it will supply continuously variable transmissions (CVTs) to Ford Motor Co. from Mexico. Japan’s Nihon Keizai newspaper said some of the transmissions planned for output in Mexico would go to Ford. Jatco is expected to begin CVT production in Mexico in 2005.
