Sales of medium- and heavy-duty trucks in the U.S. rose to 39,219 units last month, a 7.5% increase over November 2004’s 35,032. Higher sales were recorded in all but Class 6. Class 8 saw demand jump 12% to 20,753 units. The segment leader was Freightliner LLC, with 7,464 deliveries, but Volvo Truck North America Inc. posted the biggest gain, up 36.2% to 4,842 deliveries.
