U.S. auto makers sold 869,828 light vehicles during November’s 24 selling days, lifting the daily sales rate 12% over like-2009’s 23 days. Analysis Monthly deliveries equated to a seasonally adjusted annual sales rate of 12.2 million units for the second consecutive month. That result lifted the rolling 3-month SAAR to 12 million units for the first time since the fall of 2008, topping the 3-month periods including the incentive-induced sales of last year’s “Cash-for-Clunkers” program. ...
