VIENNA – TOV Porsche Ukraina, the Ukrainian importer owned by Austria’s Porsche Holding GmbH, will begin distributing Audi AG vehicles Dec. 1.

The company, which has been importing VW vehicles since April, takes over the Audi brand from locally owned importer ZAO Avtomobilnaya Gruppa Vipos.

“We plan to increase Audi sales from 1,300 to more than 4,000 units annually by 2012,” says Roman Bujna, Porsche Ukraina’s managing director.

There currently are 15 Audi dealerships in Ukraine. Vipos will continue to operate nine Audi retail locations.

Vipos also is expected to continue to run a small assembly operation in the city of Kherson, which assembles Audi A4, A6 and Q7 cars in small volumes from semi-knocked-down kits.

Porsche Holding, 100% owned by the Porsche and Piech families, is the importer of Volkswagen AG brands as well as Porsche AG cars for Austria and several Central and Eastern European countries.

It also operates dealerships in Germany, Italy and China and controls the large French-based retail group PGA Motors SA and the importer of Renault SA vehicles in Greece.
