PARIS – Thanks to burgeoning sales outside Europe, Renault is on track to sell more cars this year than last, despite an 8% decline so far in the European Union. In February, CEO Carlos Ghosn announced Renault group’s goal for the year is to beat the 2.6 million units sold in 2010. “Sales are exploding” in markets like Turkey (up 81%), Iran (up 97%) and Brazil (up 21%), a spokeswoman says.
