Toyota Motor Sales U.S.A. Inc. says the Scion tC Release Series 2.0 limited edition model will go on sale in the U.S. in mid-April.
Just 2,600 units will be built and the vehicle will sticker for $18,260, $1,960 more than a base tC, Toyota says.
The vehicle will sport a Blue Blitz Mica paint, stainless steel mesh upper and lower front grille and 17-in. alloy wheels with a satin metallic finish.
The front and rear seats of the tC RS 2.0 are trimmed in a black faux-suede called Alcantara, which Toyota says provides better friction grip and is typically found in higher-end vehicles or on aftermarket racing seats.
A Pioneer Premium AM/FM/CD audio system with iPod auxiliary jack and color-changing light emitting diode display is standard, as are seat-mounted side and front and rear side curtain airbags.
The Scion tC Release Series 2.0 will be on display at April’s New York auto show.
