Jaguar Cars says it will unveil its supercharged ’07 XKR coupe and convertible July 18 at the London Motor Show.
The 4.2L supercharged V-8 engine produces 420 hp and 413 lb.-ft. (560 Nm) of torque, making the XKR coupe capable of accelerating from 0-60 mph (97 km/h) in 4.9 seconds, the auto maker says. The convertible will hit 60 mph in 5.0 seconds, Jaguar says.
The new vehicles will be electronically limited to a top speed of 155 mph (249 km/h).
Power is laid down to the rear wheels through a standard 6-speed automatic transmission with steering-wheel-mounted shift paddles.
Standard upgrades for the ’07 XKR include a sportier new mesh grille and front bumper design, a vented hood and aluminum-effect power side vents.
