Toyota Motor Corp. already is preparing for European regulations on car recycling that begin in 2007. Toyota reportedly is collecting used cars and has set up a total of 560 recycling locations across Europe. It also is contemplating using Volkswagen AG’s recycling network to save about ¥10 billion in costs ($84 million) annually associated with collecting used cars in Europe, says Japan’s Nihon Keizai Shimbun.
