Sales of medium- and heavy-duty trucks in the U.S. plummeted 39.4% last month to 31,060 units, as Class 8 sales, alone, suffered a 59.4% decline to 10,632 units from 25,240 in like-2006. Through June, sales of big trucks in the U.S. are off 24.7% to 204,988 units, vs. 272,319 in the same period year-ago.
