Sales of Class 8 trucks in the U.S. jumped 10.4% in July, contributing to a 3.9% overall gain in combined medium- and heavy-duty truck deliveries to 41,368 units. Year-to-date, big-truck sales rose 9.7% on 313,679 units. Nearly all Class 8 truck makers saw increases last month, with the exception of Freightliner LCC’s Sterling brand, which posted a 5.3% decline.
