If increasing Land Rover sales are any indication of a growing market for luxury sport/ utilities (SUVs), then Lincoln's Navigator should do well. This year -- for the first time in its history -- Land Rover North America Inc. will sell more than 20,000 vehicles in the U.S., up at least 72% from the 12,045 units it sold in 1994. Some 5,300 Range Rovers are expected to roll out of dealer showrooms this year. In addition, about 11,500 Discovery SUVs and almost 1,500 Defenders will be sold, a company spokesman predicts.
