Van maker LDV will add 1,000 jobs at its Birmingham, U.K., van plant, doubling employment and quadrupling production to more than 50,000 units annually. LDV reportedly is spending £125 million ($199 million) for assets of the now-defunct Daewoo Motor Co. Ltd., which was a partner to LDV on a range of vehicles.
