Wrangler Prices Fall; Content Upgraded

Electronic stability control is standard equipment.

The ’07 Jeep Wrangler starts at $18,765 while its 4-door platform-mate, Wrangler Unlimited, sells for $20,410, Chrysler Group reveals. Both prices include a $660 destination charge.

The stickers reflect an aggressive move to lower Jeep prices while upgrading the standard equipment list to include features such as electronic stability control. Redesigned for ’07, the Wrangler already boasts a stiffer frame and new powertrain.

Across the Wrangler and Wrangler Unlimited lineups, pricing is down an average of $1,200. But content value is up $1,800, the auto maker says.

Offered exclusively in 4-wheel drive, the Wrangler has three available trim levels: X, Sahara and Rubicon. The X line also is available with two different packages.

A top-level Rubicon starts at $26,750.

The Wrangler Unlimited is available in 2-wheel and 4WD variations of the X and Sahara trim levels. The Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon comes only as a 4WD offering and starts at $28,895.
