LAGOS, August 7 (Reuters) - New car imports into Nigeria fell during the first six months of the year with banks showing no sign of loosening tight lending criteria which have dampened consumer spending, a leading vehicle importer said on Friday.
Nigerian port figures showed vehicle imports had almost halved to 24,000 units from 41,000 in the first half of 2008, according to the head of marketing at Nigeria's
