NEW YORK, Nov 12 (Reuters) - Japan's Nippon Steel Corp . and Baoshan Iron & Steel Co., the listed arm of China's largest steelmaker, have agreed to set up a joint venture producing steel auto sheets in what would become China's largest joint steel project, the Nihon Keizai Shimbun reported.
A formal announcement of the deal, totaling roughly 8 billion yuan or 120 billion yen ($1 billion), is expected as early as year-end, the paper's online Wednesday edition said.
