TOKYO, Nov 13 (Reuters) - Japanese steel giant Nippon Steel Corp said on Wednesday it was in talks with China's Baoshan Iron & Steel Co Ltd on a possible alliance, but nothing final had been decided.
The Nihon Keizai Shimbun reported earlier on Wednesday that Nippon Steel, the world's third-largest steelmaker, and Baoshan, the listed arm of the world's fifth-largest steelmaker, had agreed to a $1 billion joint venture to produce steel auto sheets in China.
