Nissan Diesel to brief on business plan

TOKYO, Sept 30 (Reuters) - Japanese truck maker Nissan Diesel Motor Co Ltd said on Tuesday it would hold a news conference at 4 p.m. (0700 GMT) to announce a new long-term business plan.

President Iwao Nakamura will attend, a company spokesman said.

Media said Mizuho Corporate Bank , Mizuho Trust & Banking Co, Resona Bank and major shareholder Nissan Motor Co had devised a 106 billion yen ($957 million) bailout for the truck maker, which has huge interest-bearing debts.

France's Renault , which owns 22.5 percent of Nissan Diesel, would halve its holding as part of the deal, the Nihon Keizai newspaper said. ($1=110.79 yen)
