NY gold climbs early, palladium bounces from low

NEW YORK, Dec 17 (Reuters) - U.S. gold futures climbed Friday morning on weekend short-covering, but prices kept to the recent broad range from $435 to $445 as traders took a cue from the foreign exchange markets, dealers said.
