Over 3 mln barrels daily US oil refining still shut

WASHINGTON, Oct 1 (Reuters) - Over 3 million barrels a day in U.S. oil refining capacity remain offline along the Gulf Coast due to Hurricanes Rita and Katrina, helping push up crude oil, gasoline, heating oil and natural gas prices, the government's top energy forecasting agency said.
