VIENNA – Pilot production of the Skoda Octavia is under way at Kazakhstan's sole car assembly plant, ZAO Asia Avto. Regular assembly from semi-knocked-down kits supplied from Volkswagen AG's Czech subsidiary, Skoda Auto a.s., will begin in late August.
