There’s been no slowdown in the big-truck market in Canada, where sales in November topped year-ago by 40.7%, reaching 2,553 units and marking the eighth straight month of year-over-year increases.
Class 8 accounted for the lion’s share of that gain, with daily sales rising 60.2% on a total volume of 1,746 vehicles. Leading the charge wereAG, up 105.9%, and Volvo Trucks North America, gaining 133.1%. But all other truck makers were solidly ahead of year-ago as well.

Medium-duty sales totaled 807 for the month, up 11.3% on like-2009. Class 7 was the only group in the sector to post a decline, with daily deliveries down 16.3%.
Of the remaining medium-duty segments, Class 4 enjoyed the biggest gain (48.6%), followed by Class 5 (17.7%) and Class 6 (13.0%).
Through November, medium- and heavy-duty truck volume totals 25,988, up 21.1% from like-2009.
