Sales of medium- and heavy-duty trucks got off to a slow start in Canada for 2001, as combined deliveries fell 25.4% on a daily rate basis (26 days this year, 25 in 2000) to 2,338 units. Class 8 sales alone fell 37.6% to 1,359 units, with most makers posting high double-digit declines for the month.
