Sales of new vehicles in Canada were up for the second month in a row in February, following three dismal months at the end of 1998. Canadian sales rose 4.1% in February, 90,602 units vs. 87,020 in like-1998. So far Canadian sales have posted a 7.5% increase for the year, while model year sales remain off 5.8% (see chart, p.2).
