The executive board and staff of the Canadian Auto Workers union unanimously endorses the chairman of its Chrysler Canada unit, Ken Lewenza, to replace retiring president Buzz Hargrove. Hargrove, 64, retires in September, ending a 16-year stint at the CAW’s helm. Lewenza’s ascension to the union’s top job will be the focus of a constitutional convention expected in September. He enjoys Hargrove’s personal support, so there is little expectation that his candidacy will be challenged. ...
