Ford Motor Co. will extend its 0% financing on 36-month loans for most ’02 models and offer $500-$1,000 rebates on its Escape small SUV in an effort to keep pace with the competition. Escape had been one of the few Ford models not discounted. The 0% offer is effective until May 1. Those not wanting to take advantage of low financing can choose $2,500 in cash back on most models. Ford reported a 12.7% sales decline for March vs. the same period a year ago.
