Land Rover no longer will ship Freelander SUVs to the U.S. and Canada, due to a shortage of gasoline engines. The auto maker long has purchased 2.5L V-6 engines from MG Rover through an existing contract initially forged when the two companies were joined under the BMW AG umbrella.
