General Motors Corp. is consolidating its welding tool operations from three locations into a single site in Grand Blanc, MI, near Flint. GM’s Lansing and Pontiac, MI, tooling locations and Mansfield, OH, location will close. The Lansing State Journal reports about 200 workers in Lansing could lose their jobs as a result of the consolidation. Lansing has 285 workers, Pontiac 225 and Mansfield 130.
