The redesigned heavy-duty Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra will hold the large truck power positions for the ’07 model year. But as of now, it looks like General Motors Corp. will cede the pickup towing crown to Ford Motor Co.’s ’08 Super Duty lineup. GM says its new heavy-duty pickups, when equipped with new V-8 gasoline engines, will haul a maximum of 13,000 lbs. (5,897 kg) with conventional trailers.
