General Motors Corp. plans to sell a more powerful Sport version of the Chevrolet Equinox compact cross/utility vehicle starting in third-quarter 2007. Available in front- and all-wheel-drive configurations, the Equinox Sport will contain GM’s North American-built 3.6L V-6 DOHC engine with variable valve timing.
