Ford Motor Co. announces that the horsepower rating for the 2001 Mazda Motor Corp. Miata roadster (Ford owns a controlling stake in Mazda) had been miscalculated. The Miata's 1.8L DOHC I-4 horsepower rating had been promoted as being raised to 155 hp for '01, but Ford says the rating was overestimated by around 9%.
