Mercedes-Benz USA appoints Drew Slaven to the position of general manager-marketing services, effective immediately.

Slaven, formerly department manager-marketing communications, will oversee national corporate and retail advertising, media planning and buying, relationship marketing, collateral and point-of-sale for Mercedes and Maybach strategies in the U.S.

He also will continue to manage MBUSA’s marketing agency of record, Merkley + Partners, the auto maker says.

Slaven, who joined the company in 2002, will report to Steve Cannon, vice president-marketing.
