Iran production up TEHRAN — Vehicle production in Iran increases 23% to 100,000 units during the first eight months of 1998. Additionally, 20,000 pickup trucks, 1,500 buses and 268 minibuses were built. Government authorities say they expect sales to reach 220,000 next year and 500,000 within three years.
